Our program is geared to run as a normal day for our residents. On weekdays, they wake up, conduct hygiene, eat breakfast, participate in a typical school day and then have structured activities for the afternoon leading up to their scheduled bedtimes. On the weekends, they have a full schedule of events, including various outings, based on their progress level and conduct in the program.
We provide on-the-job training to prepare our staff to best deal with our residents and certify them in the interventions we utilize during crises. Our Clinical Program Director is a licensed mental health counselor and supervises our therapists, who are all master-level clinicians. Our Director of Nursing oversees the team of registered nurses that operates the facility alongside direct-care staff daily. We also have a medical staff that consists of a physician, a psychiatric advanced-registered nurse practitioner, and a psychiatrist.
We’re an all-female treatment facility for residents ages 12 to 17.
Call 800-537-5433 with your referral. Your referral must include a recent psychological/evaluation recommending a residential level of care. Our clinical team reviews each referral to determine if our program can meet the needs of the referred resident. This is the best way to get a resident in treatment and ensure she receives the program and treatment that best fits her needs.
The length of stay for treatment depends on the needs of the resident. Treatment is individualized based upon the resident’s need at the time of entry. As the resident progresses through the program and meets milestones, it helps determine when the resident can and will discharge from the program. There are also other factors that are considered at the time of admission that help determine the length of stay.
We are located about 15 minutes away from the beach. Our residents can earn outings to the panhandle beaches once they make it to a certain progress level.
Our residential program operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our business hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
We encourage visits from people who have healthy relationships with our residents. Visits from family are arranged through the treatment team, which can include the judge, the family, case manager (if applicable), therapist, clinical program director, and psychiatrist. We want to ensure that the best interest of the resident is maintained.
